Expanded Services by Cubana de Aviación
Cubana de Aviación, Cuba’s national airline, has announced an expansion of its domestic flight schedule, introducing new routes and increasing frequencies to key destinations:
- Havana – Camagüey – Havana: Starting May 29, 2025, Cubana will operate two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays, enhancing connectivity between the capital and Camagüey.
- Havana – Holguín: Flights are scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:30 PM.
- Havana – Santiago de Cuba: Services are available on Tuesdays at 2:30 PM and 10:50 PM, and Thursdays at 10:00 PM.
- Havana – Nueva Gerona (Isla de la Juventud): Flights operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 AM.
Please note that Cubana de Aviación is currently operating with a limited fleet, and schedules may be subject to change.
Introducing Muthu Aviation: A New Player in Cuban Skies
MGM Muthu Hotels, an Indian hospitality group with a significant presence in Cuba, has launched Muthu Aviation to facilitate domestic travel for tourists.
Muthu Aviation offers flights connecting Havana with popular tourist destinations:

New Havana–Santiago de Cuba Route via Varadero
In addition to the above, Cubatur has announced a new flight route connecting Havana and Santiago de Cuba with a stopover in Varadero, commencing operations on March 8, 2025.

- Departure from Havana: 6:30 AM
- Stopover in Varadero: 6:50 AM – 7:20 AM
- Arrival in Santiago de Cuba: 8:30 AM
- Return flight:
- Departure from Santiago de Cuba: 5:30 PM
- Stopover in Varadero: 6:40 PM – 7:10 PM
- Arrival in Havana: 7:30 PM
This service operates twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, providing travelers with a scenic and efficient option to traverse the island.
